OUR NURSES Our Practice nurses Carol and Vicki take care of most of the regular nursing treatment in our large well equipped treatment room They can help with immunisations (including holiday travel immunisations...we are a Yellow Fever vaccination centre), monitoring of diseases such as diabetes, asthma and high blood pressure and with minor injuries. They can also able to help with cervical smears, ear syringing and a myriad of other useful tasks. If you have a minor medical problem such as a wound that needs looking after, or if you wish to discuss any problems but would rather not see a Doctor, they will be very happy to help you. If you need an appointment to see our practice nurses just give us a call. Our Nurse Practitioner Ruth sees patients in a similar way to the way Doctors do. She has a wide range of skills and are able to manage patients with an assortment of illnesses, such as chest infections, diabetes, and many other problems. Our District nurses Jenny and Vanessa, helped by her auxilliary nurses are able to visit patients who, for whatever reason, are unable to make it into the surgery. They are always able to be called upon to give a helping hand particularly to the older members of our practice, or those who are seriously ill.
